FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Delivery, payment and our fuel. If your question isn't here, get in touch.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to every county in the Republic of Ireland, all 26 of them. We can't deliver to Northern Ireland or outside Ireland.

How much is delivery?

One flat charge per order, set by region: one rate for Munster and one for the rest of the country. The delivery page lists the charge for every county, and checkout shows it before you pay.

How long does delivery take?

Typically 3 to 5 working days from when your payment clears (placeholder, to be confirmed). You'll get an email when your pallet leaves the yard.

How is the pallet delivered?

We deliver it to your door on a truck with a tail-lift and a pallet truck, and leave it at the kerb, in your driveway or wherever you've asked, if the ground is firm and level.

Can I choose where the pallet is left?

Yes. Use the delivery notes at checkout, for example "inside the gate, beside the shed". We need firm, level ground to move the pallet, so a gravel drive or a steep slope may mean it's left at the entrance.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No, as long as you've told us where to leave the pallet. Add it to the delivery notes at checkout.

How do I pay?

By card when you order, or by bank transfer. With bank transfer we pack your pallet as soon as the payment arrives.

Is smokeless coal legal to burn in Ireland?

Yes. Smoky (bituminous) coal can no longer be sold in Ireland, but smokeless coal can. Everything we sell meets the solid fuel regulations and we're on the EPA Solid Fuel Register (number to be confirmed).

Should I get a half pallet or a full pallet?

A half pallet (500kg) suits most homes and is easier to store. A full pallet (1 tonne) is better value per bag if you burn solid fuel all winter and have the space.

How should I store the coal?

Keep the bags on the pallet, off the ground, and covered or under shelter. Smokeless coal keeps well if it stays dry.

Can you deliver to Northern Ireland?

Not through this website. Online orders are for delivery to the Republic of Ireland only, and checkout won't accept a Northern Ireland (BT) postcode.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, until the pallet leaves the yard. Get in touch as soon as you can with your order number. See our delivery and returns page for the details.
